The Scientific Section of the IRCICA Festival
 
The International IRCICA Festival—abbreviated from the International Center for Research, Science, and Innovation in Islamic Arts and Crafts—represents a distinguished cultural and artistic event centered on fostering creativity and innovation within Islamic arts and crafts. Convened biennially in Tabriz, Iran, the festival is orchestrated by the Tabriz Islamic Art University under the auspices of IRCICA (the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art, and Culture). The fifth iteration of the festival, succeeding a six-year intermission, is slated for (November 2025)
The scientific section of the festival constitutes a core component of IRCICA, with a pronounced emphasis on scholarly and research-oriented dimensions. This section is purposefully structured to promote knowledge dissemination, interrogate cultural-artistic challenges, and advance inquiry into the realm of Iranian-Islamic art and civilization. It encompasses the following key initiatives:
 
- Presentation of Scientific Papers: Selected manuscripts concentrate on pertinent themes encompassing art, culture, Iranian-Islamic civilization, as well as historical, artistic, and cultural subjects. Authored by researchers and domain experts, these contributions are deliberated within dedicated scientific sessions. Distinguished selections among these papers will be disseminated through peer-reviewed scientific journals and compendia of conference proceedings.
 
- Specialized Panels: These panels, convened in the presence of eminent scholars and practitioners, systematically explore extant challenges, salient achievements, and prospective trajectories within the domains of visual arts, cultural heritage, and artisanal crafts. They thereby engender a conducive milieu for intellectual discourse and idea exchange.
